Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) remain a major public health problem because they can progress without early symptoms and reduce productivity among working-age adults. The NCD screening coverage among productive-age adults in the working area of Desa Binjai Public Health Center in 2024 reached only 50.6%, below the 80% target. This study aimed to analyze factors associated with NCD screening implementation among productive-age adults. An analytic quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach was conducted. The sample included 384 respondents aged 15-59 years who visited Desa Binjai Public Health Center and were selected using accidental sampling. Primary data were collected using questionnaires, while secondary data were obtained from NCD program reports and the health center profile. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis, chi-square tests, and backward LR logistic regression. The results show significant associations between NCD screening and knowledge (p=0.017), attitude (p=0.000), access to health services (p=0.000), health worker support (p=0.021), and family support (p=0.007). Multivariate analysis shows that attitude is the dominant factor (OR=11.542; 95% CI=6.846-19.458), followed by access to health services (OR=3.355; 95% CI=1.909-5.896). Educational strategies that strengthen positive attitudes and service access should be prioritized to increase NCD screening participation.
