COMMUNITY SERVICE FOR DAMAGE TREATMENT OF SKIN INTEGRITY USING OLIVE OIL IN COMMUNITY WITH TYPE II DIABETES IN PAGAR MERBAU VILLAGE
The success of skin care measures using olive oil (olive oil) can be seen in the improvement of skin integrity in people with Type 2 diabetes. Skin problems that occur in people with type 2 diabetes are due to high blood sugar levels and depend not only on early detection, but also from understanding will cause the cause. One of the conditions that can cause damage to the integrity of the skin is breakage and damage to the skin. The purpose of this community service is to monitor the damage to skin integrity by using Olive Oil in type 2 DM patients in Pagar Merbau District. This type of community service uses the Quasy Experiment Method using an observation sheet. Care was given to 22 people suffering from type 2 diabetes with problems with skin integrity. This community service procedure starts from explaining observations, observing the skin, the results of the notes on the observation sheet, cleaning the skin using warm water, drying with a towel and tapping gently. Followed by giving olive oil and then apply it on the damaged skin evenly. Wait 5 - 10 minutes, observing the skin that has been given olive oil. The use of olive oil in type 2 diabetics with impaired skin integrity has been shown to improve skin damage and prevent damage to the skin. It is hoped that the use of olive oil can be used as a skin care intervention for patients with impaired skin integrity.
