Analysis of the Implementation of the National Health Insurance (JKN) Standard Inpatient Class (KRIS) Program at Bhayangkara Hospital Tebing Tinggi in 2025

Background: The Standard Inpatient Class (KRIS) program within the National Health Insurance (JKN) aims to ensure fair, equitable, and quality health services for all BPJS Kesehatan participants. The implementation of the KRIS program requires adequate readiness of facilities and infrastructure in accordance with standards set by the government, including aspects of planning, human resources, and the health service system. Objective: This study aims to analyze the implementation of the KRIS program at Bhayangkara Hospital Tebing Tinggi. Research Method: This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach to obtain in-depth information regarding the implementation of the KRIS program. Data were collected using methodological triangulation through interviews, observations, and documentation involving several key informants. The informants in this study consisted of the hospital director, hospital staff, and patients receiving services at Bhayangkara Hospital Tebing Tinggi. Results: The implementation of the KRIS program still requires several improvements to optimize patient services. In the input component, including human resources, funding, and infrastructure, these have generally been provided; however, some staff members do not fully meet the qualifications required in their respective fields. In the process component, policies, recording, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation have been implemented, although there are still constraints related to the timeliness of implementation. Meanwhile, in the output component, the coverage of KRIS implementation has met the required health service standards, but the commitment to monitoring and improving service quality still needs to be maintained and continuously enhanced. Conclusion: The readiness of Bhayangkara Hospital Tk. III Tebing Tinggi in implementing the KRIS program is considered adequate and has been carried out according to the established standards. However, challenges remain in the aspects of facilities and patient education. The hospital demonstrates strong commitment through health worker training, routine quality control, and effective communication to maintain patient privacy and comfort, with good support from BPJS Kesehatan.
