Jurnal Pengmas Kestra (JPK) is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and integrity in the publication process. The journal follows the ethical guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to prevent and manage conflicts of interest.
A conflict of interest occurs when financial, personal, professional, or institutional relationships may influence the preparation, review, or publication of manuscripts related to community service activities.
All authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence their community service activities or manuscript preparation, including:
Financial support, sponsorship, or funding.
Personal or professional relationships.
Institutional or organizational interests.
Relationships with community partners or organizations involved in the activities.
Authors must include a Conflict of Interest Statement in their manuscripts. If no conflict exists, authors should state:
"The authors declare that they have no conflicts of interest related to this article."
Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts objectively and fairly. They must inform the editor of any potential conflicts of interest before accepting a review assignment.
Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts if personal, professional, financial, or institutional relationships may affect their impartiality.
Editors must make editorial decisions independently based on the quality, originality, and relevance of submitted manuscripts.
Editors who have a conflict of interest with a manuscript must withdraw from its evaluation and decision-making process. The manuscript will be assigned to another independent editor.
Jurnal Pengmas Kestra (JPK) will review any reported or undisclosed conflicts of interest fairly and confidentially.
If a conflict of interest is identified, the journal may request clarification, require disclosure, assign independent reviewers or editors, or take appropriate corrective action.
Serious violations will be handled according to the journal's publication ethics policy and relevant COPE guidelines.
The publisher, Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LPPM), Institut Kesehatan Medistra Lubuk Pakam, supports the journal's publication activities without interfering with editorial decisions.
